Today Thing1's Phono-Graphix-inspired phonics assignment was to listen to me read a story and write all the 'oo' words he heard.
He needed help with June, you'll (snuck in a contraction lesson), and group.
I am excited about this exercise for the way it makes him think, the spelling practice, and the handwriting practice. Obviously we are still working on letter reversals...mostly S. I plan to do this exercise again with our next sound picture.
