Handwriting Without (very many) Tears

Just to clear up any misunderstandings, when they say "Handwriting Without Tears," they do not mean that there are literally no tears.  They just mean that it produces less tears than other handwriting programs that do not claim to be tear-free.

Today was an especially tearful day, so we took Mary Poppins' advice and tried a spoonful of sugar. (Actually, I have a new friend who told me she does this with her seven-year-old son, and it sounded brilliant to me.)

Nine Smarties. Just a spoonful. No more tears!
