Jumping similes are the latest fad.

One said, "We leaped over the seat like a couple of jack rabbits over a briar bush."

Later, another said, "I scared him, and he jumped like a wild cricket!"

(I'm curious about how much higher a wild cricket jumps than a tame one.)
