Books

A friend asked me for ideas on encouraging wife/mother books to read.

The book that popped into my head first was  For Women Only (available at cbd).  It is an excellent, easy read and very enlightening on the way men operate.  I consulted The Husband, since he is a man, himself, on several of the chapters, and most of the time he agreed with the author.  He might complain about my late-night question and answer sessions, but if he were honest, he would admit that he enjoyed the conversation sparked by this book.  It left us curious about her book, For Men Only (also available on cbd), which we have not read.

After this, I am kind of stumped.  I have been reading so many education-type books lately, I am dry in the wife and mother department.  Of course, the Bible is always the best place to start.

Please leave suggestions on good wife/mother books for me.  I need to throw a good one on my book stack.

I do, too. There are parts I would like to leave out, but overall, that is one of my favorites, too.

I have started the book What is it Like to be Married to Me? by Linda Dillow. I love her other books... Creative Counterpart and Calm My Anxious Heart, so I feel like this one will be good too. I've only read part of chapert one, so far. I would love to hear more good suggestions.

Click on my list on the sidebar, and I will get credit for you signing up...You just sign up and list at least 10 books you have to get rid of. People request your books from you, you mail them (you print out the label - couldn't be easier), then you get a credit and can request a book from someone else. Basically you are trading your books plus postage for different books. I keep my credits down around 0 or 1... There's always a book I'm interested in!
